Job Title: Kitting Lead

Job Summary: The Kitting Lead works under the direction of the Kitting Supervisor and supports achieving daily production goals. In addition, this position serves as a leadership resource to team members, providing knowledge, experience, motivation, support, and advice. The Lead is responsible for knowing proper procedures for workers to follow and ensuring that they comply.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately and efficiently complete necessary steps to ensure kits are assembled and quality checked and shipped according to specifications with visual and computer scanned checks
  • Correct incorrectly assembled kits as needed
  • Correct incorrectly quality checked kits as needed
  • Prioritize orders and kits due to production needs or directed by Kitting Supervisor
  • Assign duties and troubleshoots problems
  • Update Kitting Production Screen hourly to help track daily production goals
  • Report production progress to Kitting Supervisor throughout the production day
  • Maintain the production schedule for the day, communicate changes to the team as needed
  • Monitor and report individual production status to Kitting Supervisor
  • Move and organize workers to meet production flow needs
  • Monitor supplies, Restock/transfer inventory as needed
  • Track Kits that cannot be completed by type and report, report to customers and request back-orders as needed
  • Monitor inventory items Restock/transfer inventory as needed, report needed inventory resupply requests to supervisor
  • Helps to enforce company policies
  • Bring positive and constructive feedback to the management team to help with employee engagement and help develop a strong team and quality workers
  • Act as a positive role model to all employees and adhere to company policies
  • Train new employees & temporary workers
  • Assist with special projects as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: 
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Must be timely and work efficiently throughout the day
  • Effectively lead & motivate work groups
  • Computer proficient to include Outlook, Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Ability to communicate with other team members and supervisors to ensure accuracy in assembly
  • Training will be provided but the individual must be able to follow basic instructions and guidance, be able to count materials, and have an understanding of material weight measurements.

  • This position is performed in an environmentally controlled building on active warehouse floor.
