This position performs preventive maintenance, responds to repair requests, assists with facility improvement projects, and helps ensure the facility remains compliant with company safety standards and applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility and production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building issues.
- Respond to maintenance work orders and equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.
- Perform routine inspections of building systems, equipment, and facility conditions.
- Identify potential equipment or facility failures before they result in downtime.
- Complete basic electrical repairs, including lighting, switches, outlets, motors, and related components within authorized scope.
- Perform plumbing repairs, including faucets, drains, toilets, piping, and water systems.
- Perform basic carpentry, drywall, painting, door, racking, and general building repairs.
- Support installation, relocation, and modification of equipment and workstations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, inspections, and preventive maintenance documentation.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE, powered industrial truck, electrical safety, and other applicable safety procedures.
- Identify and report unsafe conditions, equipment deficiencies, and facility hazards.
- Support continuous improvement, 5S, Lean, and facility improvement initiatives.
- Assist with emergency facility repairs as needed.
- Perform additional facility and maintenance duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of industrial, commercial, manufacturing, or facility maintenance experience preferred.
- General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment.
- Ability to read basic equipment manuals, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Basic computer skills for completing electronic work orders and maintenance documentation.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while appropriately escalating complex or safety-critical issues.
- Experience working in a warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or regulated facility.
- HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical maintenance experience.
- Experience with CMMS or electronic work-order systems.
- Forklift and/or aerial lift experience.
- Lockout/Tagout training.
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- This position is performed in an environmentally controlled building.
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and work in confined or elevated areas when required.
- Ability to work in warehouse, mechanical, and outdoor environments with varying temperatures.
- Ability to safely use required PPE.
